We all experience moments when we struggle to understand the state of the world, when we feel powerless and--in some cases--even hopeless. Some of today's most influential young adult authors come together in this highly personal collection of essays and original stories that offer moments of light in the darkness, and show that hope is a decision we all can make.

Hope Nation

Narrated by award-winning voice actors, HOPE NATION offers a respite from the turmoil of current events with uplifting messages written by well-known young adult authors from various walks of life. In this collection of honest essays, listeners find that the people penning the words are just as vulnerable as everyone else but are willing to share their experiences with those who are ready to listen. The narrators bring their all to the mix, giving life to the authors’ compelling anecdotes. A perfect example is “The Kids Who Stick” by Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely, narrated by Guy Lockard and Chris Andrew Ciulla. The last in a series of raw stories, this essay drives home the fact that hope is something that should always be shared, no matter what the cost. V.C.
