Our final week of SYNC’s tenth season comes with a pair of audiobooks that are kissed by the possibility of magic. We hope this finale brings you both immediate delight and the invitation to keep exploring both your own world and those created and presented through the many audiobooks available all year at your library.

The first in a series with the same title AKATA WITCH,  multi-award winning Nnedi Okorafor's African Futurism  comes to listeners through the skillful and mesmerizing performance of actor Yetide Badaki. Thank you, Tantor Audio! Take an #OwnVoices trip with Igbo-American Sunny as she meets her new Nigerian neighbors and discovers that she has powers she had not imagined. Yes, there’s magic, there’s suspense, and thanks to excellent writing and narration, there’s an audiobook experience to savor well beyond SYNC’s season.

From Scholastic Books ALL THE CROOKED SAINTS,  by well-known teen fantasy author Maggie Stiefvater, comes to listening readers through the talented voice work of Thom Rivera. This tale of miracles, mystery, and deeply realized characters sweeps us into a 1960s-era Colorado community where a Chicano family holds magic powers.

Can’t get enough of these tales, authors, and narrators? Check out the listen-alike ideas listed on the download pages for these and many of the previous audiobooks you received this summer. You can find them and more great audiobooks in your local library all year. Then come back next SYNC season for more audiobooks to add to your personal library, audiobooks you can keep forever. Yes, we'll be back. And we look forward to you joining us!
