Among these is the teen-written and author-narrated BEING JAZZ by transgender activist Jazz Jennings. We are featuring this announcement this week in keeping with all the energy and hope inspired by teen activists proving they are up to speaking truth to power on another topic of life-and-death importance, and as a reminder that teens do have values and are prepared to express how these values underpin the rights they know they have as humans.
Each of us, regardless of color, creed, ancestry, gender, or orientation has the right to live free of the threat of violence and a life recognized by others as one to respect without regard to personal self-identity. Thank you, Listening Library, for donating this audiobook to SYNC 2018, and thank you, teens, for speaking up for what we need in order to persevere as a country, a culture, and as sovereign individuals.
