Be Prepared to Share Downloading Help

Whether you are a librarian who uses OverDrive as part of your collection access, a teacher who has used it as a library borrower for yourself, or someone with no experience with OverDrive, you can gain a lot from attending one or the other of OverDrive's free webcasts next week. In addition to explaining how to access SYNC content, download it, and make sure you continue to have access to it, the hour-long webcast also will address program questions such as who makes a good SYNC participant (quick answer: anyone 13+ regardless of reading proficiency). Please share this blog post from OverDrive describing the program and keep a copy on hand for yourself as it includes helpful links for future troubleshooting help.
You can register for the morning or afternoon webcasts on OverDrive's Training page. The morning session starts at 11 am EDT and the afternoon session begins at 2 pm EDT (yup, that's still morning for West Coasters). Content for both hour-long, free sessions is identical.
We want to thank OverDrive for their consistent and high quality support for SYNC. Please be sure to share this webcast information in any email or bulletins that will arrive for your local readers before Tuesday morning next week. That includes notices to parents, local orgnizations, and, if you host one, your local teen advisory or book group. The more people trained to help with troubleshooting, the more access your community has to all these free audiobooks! Thanks for your help and support, too.
