A classic for a new generation of listeners

Written by Francisca Goldsmith on Tuesday, January 26, 2016

SYNC provides a pair of audiobooks each week during the summer, with one being something very new for teen listeners and in publishing generally, with the second being a classic and/or something of high interest to secondary school students.

We're happy to announce that, thanks to Highbridge Audio, among the classics for 2016 is THIS BOY'S LIFE. This memoir by Tobias Wolff has been filmed as well as read by adults and teens alike for a quarter century. Now we'll be able to share Oliver Wyman's delightful performance of a very quirky boyhood, just right for summer listening!

In the next few weeks, we'll be preparing the AudiobookSYNC 2016 Toolkit so that you can begin to plan programming and publicity to help spread the word on this literacy-enhancing effort to keep teens engaged with books all summer long.  Stay tuned!
