It’s a grand total of 223 hours of listening! While that averages about seven hours per title, and 14 hours a week, the variation is broad in terms of the lengths of the individual titles. The longest top 17 hours (THE WITCHES:SALEM 1692; GONE) while the shortest are under two (BOY; REBUTTAL). We expect some listeners to be insatiable while others are coming to SYNC without previous audiobook experience, so we’ve tried to include those that can last an avid listener a full week and others that can offer a first listen that makes completion feel doable.
Each week's pair shares a theme. Sometimes, one of the pair is long and the other short; in other weeks both are about the same length. Although each of these titles can be downloaded for free only during one week of the program, they are yours to keep forever so there is no need to feel rushed to listen to 20 hours in one week only to download 20 the following as well. We want to keep summer in your life all year long and, with 223 hours of listening, we think you can probably make these audiobook experiences last well beyond the SYNC season.
To be ready to download all these hours of new audiobooks, if you have been a SYNC participant in past summers, now is the time to clean up your old files and make sure your OverDrive app is up to date. As the season goes along, be sure to move any files you download to your mobile device to a computer so you don't burn through all the storage on the mobile.
Unsure about the technology aspects of this program? Register for next week's webinar on SYNC and OverDrive at 11 am ET or 3 pm ET, both Thursday, March 30. And thank you for counting on SYNC in the summertime!
