What a brilliant coupling SYNC has done this week. Shakespeare and Ancient Rome along with present day Em, Finn and time travel!! Meet Em and Finn in ALL OUR YESTERDAYS. The pair must prevent “the Doctor” from using a time travel machine in order to destroy the world. Narrator Meredith Mitchell aptly conveys Em’s and Finn’s distress and confusion as they observe how “the Doctor” has changed. Mitchell also helps keep things on track for the listener in this swiftly changing and moving saga. In JULIUS CAESAR, Shakespeare tells the story of the Roman Revolution in 40 B.C. He highlights the tyranny of politics and absolute power when Caesar is assassinated on the floor of the Senate. L.A. Theatre Works Full Cast perfectly captures this tragic, human drama and famous speeches such as: “Et tu Brute?” and ” Friends, Romans and countrymen lend me your ears”.

What a great pairing this week. I’m particularly impressed with the audio performance of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. It’s important to expose you the classical plays. As I listen, I am reminded of the speed of the dialogue and retort of the play.
Thanks to Tantor Audio and LA Theatre Works for contributing the YA Sync this summer.
