Maggie Stiefvater Takes Pulse of SYNC

We are busy working with our publisher partners on the Summer 2013 titles!  Shall we let the news of the first confirmed title sneak out?  Yes??

We are delighted that Maggie Stiefvater will return this year with her bestseller, Raven Boys (Scholastic Audio)!

Maggie, who previously offered her book Shiver to SYNC, sent us this note about the program and the power of audiobooks…

“As a latecomer to the world of audiobooks, I have to say that I love that my readers are discovering them along with me. I used to believe an audiobook was merely someone reading the words out loud. Now, though, I’ve put the ear buds in and realized what I’ve really been missing: performance art. In the audiobook version of Shiver and my other novels, my characters don’t get read aloud . . . they get a pulse.”

Beautifully said, Ms. Maggie.

Now, what Classic should we pair Raven Boys with…any ideas?

Treasure Island was the first one to pop into my head. Not that there is much correlation between the two, other than guys looking for something.

Now THAT is an idea. I just recently listened to it and was reminded that Stevenson’s language is gorgeous!
